Hands-free convenience & increased efficiency with ADVANTEC® pleated MCE membranes

Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- When used with a membrane filter dispenser, these filters eliminate the need to manually remove the protective paper— improving processing efficiency and reducing the risk of membrane contamination due to handling of membrane and packaging. The ADVANTEC pleated membranes are compatible with most membrane filter dispensers including the Microsart e.motion, EZ-Pak, and Membrane-Butler.

The pleated MCE membranes come presterilised and allow accurate testing and sample processing. To ensure traceability, membrane specifications, lot number, and a sequential number (from 1 to 100) are printed on the cover of each individually wrapped filter. Unused membranes remain safely packed.

Used for the microbiological examination of water, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food, and beverages, the membrane has high recovery rates and its high porosity provides superior flow rates.

Available in 0.45μm and 0.80μm pore sizes and in either white or black gridded surface. White gridded surface types are used for applications such as the examination of water and wastewater and in the pharmaceutical, medical, or food and beverage industries. Black gridded surface types are used for applications including the examination of bottled water, carbonated beverages, beer, and wine.
