Nestld, a New Social Networking Website for Families, Launches Indiegogo Funding Campaign

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 1, 2012 - Atlanta, Georgia, August 1, 2012 – Andree Harris, founder of Nestld, a new social networking website combining digital event invitations with live streaming video, is preparing to bring friends and families together for virtual celebrations –no matter how far apart they are. But first, she needs the help of project backers to bring her dream to full fruition. She plans to find these backers on Indiegogo.com, an online funding platform that allows everyday people to “back” creative projects that interest them.

“In this day and age, families are spread across the globe,” says Harris. “It’s not uncommon to live hundreds or thousands of miles away from the people who matter.” Tired of missing important family events like birthday parties, wedding showers and baby showers due to distance and the expense of travel, Harris was inspired to create Nestld.  

Once complete, the free social networking website for families will allow users to host virtual parties for up to 30 guests. “It’s going to be unbelievable fun,” Harris says. “Nestld users will be able to choose from several event categories before creating their own customized digital invitation.” Enter a guest list of email addresses and Nestld sends the invitations, complete with all the pertinent party details. “A link will be emailed to each guest one hour before the party. With a simple click of the mouse, they’re ready to mix and mingle,” she concludes.

Harris is confident that people of all ages and backgrounds will be equally passionate about contributing to the completion of Nestld through Indiegogo. In exchange for monetary pledges, from as little as $15, Harris will gift contributors with rewards such as Nestld stickers, t-shirts and invitations to the closed beta.
