New Media Mogul Carla B. To Take Over Rising Star Music Awards In Los Angeles

July 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Founder of the Rising Star Music Awards (RSMA), Shelia Ferguson announced on July 29th that she would in fact be stepping down, and “new media” mogul Carla B. would be producing the event starting in 2013, for the 5th annual awards show.

Regarded as one of the most elite events of the year, RSMA™ has been critically acclaimed for introducing and predicting musical trends and celebrating the best of Los Angeles in entertainment. The ceremony honors artists representing a wide spectrum of music, from superstars to street singers, ranging from rhythm and blues, pop, soft rock, country, to hip-hop and folk—as well as actors, actresses, philanthropists and everything in between.

"The Rising Star Music Awards is not a show about winners or losers, but giving new artist a chance to be honored for all their hard work. We all must recognize the important role we play in the education and development of our young artist, thus, finding innovative ways to turn their visions into reality," said founder, Shelia Ferguson.

Carla B. formerly known as Carla Barnes is a busy woman wearing many hats, epitomizing all things 'entrepreneurship.' She is CEO of EOTM Media Group which encompasses EOTM Radio & Media, EOTM TV and EOTM Public Relations.

Ms.B. recently shared her excitement on RSMA's red carpet. “I feel so honored to be gearing up to produce and oversee all aspects of the Rising Star Music Awards. The RSMA platform has been a valuable source to the community... and if I can stroke my ego a tad bit,(chuckling) it can only get "bigger and better" in time.

We are currently putting together a team of industry professionals and investors that will help to expand the RSMA brand. Shelia Ferguson has laid the foundation; my job is to tweak it, continue to put extraordinary talent in front of agents, A&R’s, record labels, talent agents, managers, directors, writers, producers etc., all the while adhering to Ferguson’s mantra…which is simply… “Keeping it about our youth.”
