By: Faith Visonary Services Activities include: free cooking demonstrations, health screenings, music, and kids games. A variety of community and health agencies will be on hand to answer health and wellness related information, such as the American Red Cross, and Blood Centers of the Pacific who will provide an opportunity for donors to give blood. Under the leadership of Curtis O. Robinson, Sr., Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church and Laura Singley who serves as Chairman of the Board of Faith's nonprofit organization, Faith Visionary Service; Faith Visionary Service functions as a member agency with the Alameda County Community Food Bank, and provides fresh foods, can goods and wholesome foods to individuals and families in the central East Oakland. Faith Visionary Services has provided food to the community through its food pantry since November 2011. The pantry has served over 4,000 families, adults and children and has distributed over 50,000 pounds of food. These services are available to the public on second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Faith Visionary Services was organized in 1999 under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Haywood B.
