July 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Aurion Learning has been working with NHS Education for Scotland (NES)to design and build a suite of interactive and downloadable learning resources targeted at over 48,000 nurses, midwives and allied health professionals  (NMAHP’s) in NHS Scotland. The learning resources are available to practitioners via The Effective Practitioner website.
Speaking about the project, Colette Ferguson, Director of NMAHP from NES explained:

“The Effective Practitioner provides work-based learning resources and support for levels 5 and 6 (Career Framework for Health) nurses, midwives and allied health professionals across NHS Scotland.  These downloadable learning resources address the four pillars of practice, i.e. clinical practice; evidence-based practice; learning teaching and supervision; and leadership and management. A suite of learning resources developed by Aurion Learning supports work-based learning, self-reflection and knowledge and skills acquisition. They are also mapped to the core NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework dimensions.”

Dr. Maureen Murphy, Managing Director of Aurion Learning said:

“We’ve really enjoyed working with NES to develop these online and downloadable learning resources for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals. These scenario-based bite-sized learning nuggets help raise awareness of health priorities and key issues such as dementia, quality improvement, self-management, healthcare associated infection, nutrition and end-of-life care. The Effective Practitioner provides learners with signposts to more extensive learning on each of these key topics.”
