National Award Nomination for Mumpreneur

July 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Being a parent whilst juggling a business is a hard task, and nobody knows this better than Elizabeth Higgs. Elizabeth, a mother of 3 from Bude, North Cornwall, runs For Your Child, an independent baby shop. The business was launched in 2010 as a way for Elizabeth to stay at home with her young children. After recently receiving a Silver award for her website, Elizabeth has now been nominated for an award at The Mumpreneur Awards 2012, a national award scheme for mums who run their own enterprise. For Your Child has enjoyed immense success in the last 2 and a half years, where Elizabeth has seen the store on Kings Hill Industrial Estate become the biggest baby shop in North Cornwall. Following even greater success online and causing ripples amongst the industries biggest players, For Your Child has decided to concentrate on its strengths as an online retailer.

The Mumpreneur Awards 2012 are the UK's first national business awards dedicated solely to mums in business. Now in its fourth year, the awards have been a platform for many mumpreneurs to enhance their business, and continue to grow even through this uncertain economic climate.

As well as being nominated in the Best start-up and Best online business categories, Elizabeth is also in with a chance of winning The Inspirational Business Mum Award, which will be awarded to the mother who proves to be an inspiration to all women in business.

Elizabeth now has to wait until August, when she will find out whether she has made the finals, which will be taking place on 30th September 2011 at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire.
