ScottMadden to Sponsor the 2012 American Nuclear Society Utility Working Conference

July 30, 2012 - PRLog -- ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, is proud to join leading industry players as a sponsor of the American Nuclear Society Utility Working Conference (UWC) to be held Sunday, August 5–Wednesday, August 8 at The Westin Diplomat Report and Spa in Hollywood, Florida. This annual conference provides the opportunity to learn best practices and share real world experiences with several hundred attendees from across the nuclear industry.

This conference offers a unique opportunity to interact with nuclear operators, vendors, and regulators in a format that promotes open sharing of ideas. “As members of The American Nuclear Society, we look forward to sponsoring such an event that values the advancement and promotion of nuclear science and technology,” says Chris Vlahoplus, partner at ScottMadden.

Sean Lawrie, director at ScottMadden, will join Richard Carpenter, FME Site Coordinator at PPL Corporation, to serve as co-track organizer for the “Maintenance” track.

Additionally, Ian Falk, director at ScottMadden, and Jordan Gillis, managing associate at ScottMadden, will serve as session organizers for “Continuous Improvement through the T-Week Process.” This interactive session will discuss team building, managing heavy workloads when time is short, and using the T-Week process to drive continuous improvement across the organization. Mr. Falk and Mr. Jordan will also organize “New Building Project Management Leading Practices.” This session will focus on the lessons from completing large projects, ones that will help attendees with smaller projects and day-to-day performance improvements.

Separate from, and in addition to the conference, the ScottMadden team will sponsor and host two foursomes of golf during the ANS UWC Golf Tournament to be held Sunday, August 5 at The Diplomat Golf Resort.
