The objective of the competition was to build "affinity" amongst the Club's current fan base and the campaign garnered 190 Views, 4 Comments and 2 New Fan 'likes' within 2 hours of the launch.
As mentioned at many of our programme, a large fan alone is insufficient to effectively reach out to your target market. The key is the development of "affinity" as this factor determines whether your fans actually see your posts. Statistically, for most organizations without a proper social media strategy that builds affinity, less than 2% of their Facebook Fans eventually see their posts.
