FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 29, 2012 - Many people want a lifestyle that is as healthy and as environmentally friendly to the environment as possible and choosing the right kinds of foods and drinks can make a big difference.  Many people have made the switch from organically grown food and vegetables and they can also make the switch to organically grown coffee instead of regular coffee.

Organically grown coffee tastes such as good as normal coffee however it is grown without the use of pesticides or harmful chemicals, which means that the environment in which the coffee is grown is protected against the harmful effects on the environment and wildlife.

As the demand for environmentally friendly organic coffee’s has increased more farmers and coffee growers around the developing world have decided to go down this path.  There are strict demands put on the coffee farmers as artificial fertilisers are banned and farmers develop fertile soil by rotating crops and using compost, manure and clover. There is also a strong emphasis on the protection of wildlife and the local environment, with some coffee growers using the local jungle and trees as shade for the coffee plants. Organic farming methods also allows higher levels of carbon to be stored in the soil and as a result helps current greenhouse emissions.

Some countries and farmers still use pesticides or artificial fertilizers which are carried off by rainwater into streams, rivers and lakes which contaminate waterways and provide a toxic hazard to wildlife and the local inhabitants. Organically grown coffee helps protect the local workers and wildlife from these toxins.

An example of a commercially available organic coffee is this French style coffee from Clipper. French café’s serve some of the worlds best coffee’s and this fine Fairtrade coffee from Clipper is a French styled coffee blend that is roasted and ground to provide an incredibly rich smooth coffee with a delicious complex flavour and sensuous aroma. This coffee is made by Clipper who make some incredible coffees http://www.truecoffee.co.uk/ and all of their drinks are Fairtrade products which means that the farmers and pickers are paid fare prices for their coffee and can invest in their community and future.

From humble beginnings organic coffee has continue to increase with major producers including Brazil, Ethiopia and Peru, and altogether there are over 30 countries worldwide than now produce this important crop, including Bolivia, Burundi, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador,
