Vereador Cristiano Neves, 12013

July 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Cristiano Neves is also known as ‘A Paixao do Brasil’, (The Passion of Brasil) and now he has yet another title to add to  his name, Candidato do Vereador 12013. Yes he is running for public office in Sao Paulo.

Born in Barro Alto, in Bahia, he has become a major celebrity, especially to Nordestinos, (those from the Northern States of Brasil) he has recorded 27 CDs and 4 DVD, and has almost 30 shows per month.  
Now he is adding to that busy life style by entering into the world of Politics, and one of his first actions, was to let everyone know that he did not want the public to offer any donations to his campaign….. this taken direct from his website.....

(Politicians are always asking for money, at this point I am supposed to ask you to part with your hard earned cash, to help me become a Politician. Did yu ask me for money when you started your job....... I dont think so. I am not asking anyone to donate here, I would like to ask you to look at my proposals, if you like what you see, agree with some of my view point, help me to help you, and vote for me,

His particular área of interest is the Community, housing and living conditions, he remembers well his humble upbringing in Bahia and just how difficult it is to make ends meet, he also worked in Sao Paulo for 7 years as an Impressor at the jornal, Estado de Sao Paulo, working evening and weekends on his singing career.  
In conjunction with Paulinho da Forca and PDT, he would like to see decentralised government and more hands on local support. Like everyone else he would like to see some solutions for the traffic problems, more housing projects so that people could have expectations of owning their own properties, start working on some of the serious drug issues that plague Sao Paulo, and numerous other projects that are a hindrance to the population at large.

"Daddy," a little girl asked her father, "do all fairy tales begin with 'Once upon a time'? "

"No, sweetheart," he answered. "Some begin with 'If I am elected.'  

Politicians love making promises, I will not promise anything that I cannot or will not deliver. I can however promise you that people will get to see the suggestions that are posted here.

And that is what he is about to do now, he is going to pose the questions on his Facebook page, and ask for possible alternative solutions from the public, 11 million heads are better than 1, so lets listen to  the 11 million and see if any of them have some original ideas that would help us solve some of the problems we face in Sao Paulo.

It’s a different approach, a Politician that does not ask for money from the public, but instead asks for advice. As he said in that first press release,
