The Honor Event will take place at the Minnesota Twins game on July 27th in a ceremony. Jon Lindstrand will serve as Stand & Salute American Heroes "Boots on the Ground". The Flag raiser for the game will be Staff Sergeant Gary Nere who was in the same unit as SPC Billmeier.
On September 13th, 2005 SPC Billmeier along with three other members of the Olivia-based Alpha Company, 1-151st Field Artillery unit, had just gotten into their Humvee. They were travelling in a convoy when it was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade.
We are grateful to him for his service and the sacrifice he has made for our country. This presentation is a small token of our appreciation to him and all the service men and women around the world.

It is time to recognize those that have served and made sacrifices to ensure FREEDOM and liberation for others. We honor all Veterans we call heroes so that no Veteran will ever be forgotten.
