Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant Brings Farmers and Artisans to You

July 27, 2012 - PRLog -- (South Norwalk, CT) July 27, 2012 – Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant has teamed up with Farmigo, a nationwide farm-to-consumer sales network, to offer people a convenient way to obtain products from local farmers and artisans. There are no membership fees, no order minimums and no on-going commitments required. This literally is an a la carte CSA that meets consumer demand for flexibility and greater choice in CSAs. Local vendors supplying the goods for this multi-farm CSA are Sport Hill Farm in Easton, Cherry Grove Farm in Newtown, Wave Hill Bread in Norwalk, Doc’s Maple, Erin O’Streicher Designs and Cote’s Natural Products.

“People are looking for the convenience of a multi-farm CSA easily tailored to their tastes and needs,” says Farah Masani of the Barcelona Restaurant Group. “Convenience is important to our customers. The opportunity to shop for quality farmer’s market products online and then picking it up at one location later in the day provides added value.”

Joining the program is easy. Customers sign up via the farmigo website (farmigo.com), select the products via the online store and then pick up the order every Tuesday at Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant in Fairfield between 3:00pm – 8:00pm. Not only can subscribers pick up an order but they can take a moment to enjoy Chef Helton’s recipe-of-the-week made with CSA ingredients.
