Award-Winning Rapoport’s Restaurant Group to Launch Sandwich Shop in Delray Beach

July 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Boca Raton, Fla – Rapoport’s Restaurant Group is expanding its roster of already successful dining concepts and opening a boutique sandwich shop in the former Old School Bakery venue. Located at 814 E. Atlantic Ave., owner Burt Rapoport leased the building wanting to bring a nostalgic, well-rounded sandwich shop to Delray Beach by using inspiration from classic concepts. Conveniently named after the shop’s new operating team, Deck 84’s Executive Chef Jon Greening and General Manager, Eric Clark, E & J’s Sandwich Shop is slated to open Friday, July 27, 2012.  

A great new location for dine in or take out, E & J’s Sandwich Shop will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as late night on the weekends.  Situated on Atlantic Ave just a few doors down from Rapoport’s award-winning waterfront concept, Deck 84,  E & J’s offers an array of hot and cold creations including Burt’s favorite sandwich, fittingly titled “Burto’s” made with oven roasted turkey, roast beef, Swiss cheese, coleslaw and Russian dressing.  

For those looking for a dependable breakfast spot on the Ave, E & J’s opens daily at 8 a.m. and will offer choices like Granola & Yogurt, Oatmeal, Egg Sandwiches and assorted pastries freshly baked by Deck 84’s pastry chef. For lunch or dinner, choose from a menu full of traditional favorites such as the Italian, French Dip, B.L.T. and Cheesesteaks or one of their unique creations including the Kosher Bologna Sandwich, Sausage & Peppers, or Albacore Tuna Salad on a Kaiser Roll. E & J’s uses the freshest ingredients to build overstuffed subs on freshly baked bread appropriately delivered from Old School Bakery. Prices range from $4 to $6 for breakfast and $6 to $12 for sandwiches, wraps and hoagies.

Whether stopping in to pick up a quick lunch before heading to the beach or enjoying a relaxing summer evening on their covered 30-seat outdoor terrace, this nostalgic-style sandwich shop offers a new casual dining option to Atlantic Ave. E & J’s is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., on Friday and Saturday.
