VOLKSWAGEN OF SOUTH CHARLOTTE BEGINS TWO-PHASE CONSTRUCTION TO EXPAND PREMISES

July 27, 2012 – Charlotte, N.C. – Over the recent past, both Volkswagen and Volkswagen of South Charlotte have grown tremendously. Both cases of success can be attributed to quality products and a commitment to each customer that steps through the door. In order to stay committed to the increasing customer base, Volkswagen of South Charlotte decided that an increased inventory is necessary. To accommodate this influx of Volkswagen vehicles, a two-phase expansion is planned.

Right now Volkwagen of South Charlotte is developing a 1-acre parking lot in which the newest automobiles can be displayed. Furthermore, light fixtures will be added to increase night-time visibility, along with 75 service parking spots to reduce congestion during peak pick-up and drop-off hours and greenery to enhance the aesthetic of the dealership. This first phase is planned to be completed by the end of July.

After phase one is complete, phase two will last from October of this year to June 2013. The showroom, lounge, parts department, service department, and restrooms will all receive restoration and expansion. The service entrance will be moved and doubled in size, while six new service bays and a car wash are added. Finally, new tile and hardwood floors will be put down.
