2012 Kutz for Kidz Back to School Event
What: Back to School Event providing free haircuts, backpacks, & school supplies for underprivileged youth in the Albuquerque & Surrounding Community.

Details: The “Kutz for Kidz” program, is a Free local event for under-privileged youth in our community. Dream Big, APD & APD Party Patrol, will provide an event in which children receive a Free Professional Haircut & School Supplies, while building a relationship with the men and women who protect their lives every day. The results of the event will include a higher sense of self-esteem and self-worth for the kids, and a personal and positive experience with local law enforcement.

The Event is scheduled for August 12th 2012 from 9am till 6pm at the APD Training & Recruitment facility, where participants will enjoy interacting with law enforcement in demonstrations of APD’s Specialized Units. There will be appearances & autograph signings from top UFC Fighters, Local Athletes, Local & National Actors.  Youth friendly vendor tents, local sporting team interaction, as well as live entertainment in two locations!  APD Staff will provide free BBQ (Hamburgers & Hotdogs) & prepare drinks, and snacks for all participants.
