Tacky Jacks to Present Fundraising Check to Make-A-Wish® Alabama

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 25, 2012 - Gulf Shores, AL –On July 27, 2012, Tacky Jacks will hold a check presentation event for Make-A-Wish® Alabama at their Gulf Shores location. The event will take place at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Tacky Jacks Marlin.  Nora Banks, the Make-A-Wish® Alabama Coordinator of External Events, will be onsite to accept the fundraising check on behalf of the local Make-A-Wish chapter.  The check is the result of a fundraiser held at the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan Road, and Battleship Parkway Tacky Jacks locations.  During this fundraiser, restaurant patrons were asked to contribute to Make-A-Wish® Alabama after taking snapshots with the famous Tacky Jacks Marlin.  Tacky Jacks generously matched all contributions for a final fundraising total of $5,976. All donations will be used to grant the wishes of local children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions.  
Make-A-Wish® Alabama has been granting wishes locally since 1995.  “With nearly 200 pending wishes in Alabama, we are so excited to have local partners join us in helping children with life-threatening medical conditions have their most heartfelt wishes come true,” says Nora Banks, Alabama Coordinator of External Events.
