Snell & Wilmer Attorney Scott Sandberg Appointed to a Colorado State Board of Licensure

Sandberg, a partner in the Denver office, has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors.

The Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors regulates the practice of architects, engineers and land surveyors. Its responsibilities encompass the evaluation of whether applicants are qualified for licensure, the examination of such applicants, licensing, license renewal, setting policy with regard to the practice of the profession, consideration of complaints against licensees and those who may have practiced without a license, and disciplining those who have not complied with the law.
Sandberg's legal practice is concentrated in commercial litigation, including all phases of construction, financial services, professional liability, franchise and contract disputes. His experience includes trials, arbitrations, and preliminary injunction proceedings to protect intellectual property rights.
Sandberg is admitted to practice law in Colorado and is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association where he serves on the Construction Committee and Franchise Law Subsection. He also is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Utah; United States District Court, Districts of Colorado and Utah; the Ninth and Tenth Circuits of the United States Court of Appeals; and the United States Court of Claims. He is a member of the American Bar Association, International Franchise Association, IFA Franchise Business Network, Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, American Council of and Engineering Companies of Colorado. Sandberg serves on the board of directors for Growing Home, Inc.

Sandberg graduated with honors from the University of Utah, where he majored in finance. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah College of Law.
