“Partnering with The Black Dolls was an effortless decision and we love what they stand for! LAMIK and The Black Doll Affair have the same platform in that we encourage women to see the beauty inside and out,” states Kim Roxie, Creative Designer of LAMIK Beauty. “We are looking forward to the opportunities and the doors that will open through this wonderful partnership guaranteed to touch so many women and allow them to see, as the Black Dolls say, “their b’huety within.”
“There's a reason for the heart in The Black Doll Affair's logo. It's because The Black Dolls are loving role models on a mission to help remind black girls of their beauty through giving back. With LAMIK standing for Love and Makeup In Kindness and in consideration that both brands are on a mission to reveal a woman's beauty, the partnership is a very fitting and fateful match,” stated Dana "Mama Doll" Hill, Founder of The Black Doll Affair. "The Black Dolls and I are very excited about the party to launch our partnership and the journey with LAMIK!”
Additionally, for their outstanding work in the community, their talent to remain connected to the people, and for being role models that remind black girls of their beauty and potential, The Black Dolls will name Kim Roxie and Houston’s Fox 26 News anchor Damili Keith, Honorary Black Dolls at the event.

About The Black Doll Affair
Doll tests have revealed that black children prefer white dolls and view black dolls as ugly and bad. The Black Doll Affair is a social club of black women called The Black Dolls. To reverse doll tests results and remind black girls of their inner and outer beauty, these role models engage in philanthropic affairs, donate toy black dolls to little girls, have self-esteem building play dates with teens and host fun events (Black Doll Affairs) that uplift the black woman and increases her pride in hue. These are the "Affairs" of The Black Dolls! Recipients of President Obama’s Volunteer Service Award, The Black Dolls range in shade and shape. Eighteen years and older, from college students to grandmothers, career women to ladies of leisure, they are role models that band together to tackle the black family’s issues with shadeism, self hatred and low self-worth. To express the importance of community service, annually they donate hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to charitable causes that affect all races. These are the Affairs of The Black Dolls and their mission is to change the way black girls are perceived and, more importantly, how they perceive themselves. More at: www.blackdollaffair.com
