Pure Gold’s show is fun-filled and energetic – one that is sure to get the audience out of their seats and dancing to the beat of classic favorites from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. This talented act features fantastic four-part harmony and an exceptional blend of blues, doo-wop, R&B, standards and original material that highlights each member’s unique dynamic vocals and instrumentation. Having performed with more than 100 major acts, including Little Richard, The Beach Boys, The Temptations and The Four Tops, Pure Gold is well-known in the Pittsburgh region and beyond.
Pure Gold is the fourth and final concert in the Kean Theatre’s “Summer of Fun Concert Series.” Sponsors of Pure Gold are UPMC Health Plan, the Academy sponsor of the Kean Theatre. Northern Connection is the Grammy sponsor, Schellhaas Funeral Home is the Box Office sponsor and James Austin Company is the Entertainment sponsor. Proceeds from the Kean Theatre benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which in 2011 alone provided more than $5.2 million to poor and low-income residents at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas.
The Kean Theatre is open to the public and has built a reputation for its convenient location, free parking, quality entertainment and elegant setting. The theatre is operated by St. Barnabas Charities, the fund-raising arm of St. Barnabas Health System.
