July 25, 2012 - PRLog -- One Beat CPR is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor at this year’s Tunnel to Towers 5K Run in Ft. Lauderdale to commemorate the 11th anniversary of September 11th. The 3.1-mile run, honoring South Florida’s first responders, will directly support the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The foundation’s goal is to build Smart Homes for all military quadruple amputees. Smart Homes are custom designed to address the individual needs of severely injured U.S. military personnel, helping each wounded veteran live a more independent life.

In an effort to give back to the community, One Beat CPR continuously sponsors and organizes events that promote an active lifestyle and bring awareness to the importance of being prepared in an emergency situation. One Beat CPR provides CPR training as well as sells Philip’s Automated External Defibrillators [AEDs], which dramatically increase the survival rate of Sudden Cardiac Arrest when used in a life-threatening emergency.

One Beat CPR Founder Lon Rosen states, “One Beat CPR supports the Stephen Siller Foundation because of our unwavering commitment to first responders, military, and country. I am a 13-year veteran of the Key Biscayne Fire Department. Along with my civil service, a majority of our staff has family currently serving our military or recognized as honored veterans. Moreover, each and every person at One Beat CPR is profoundly grateful for the sacrifices made by the heroes of September 11th. We remember, we care. We support, we honor.”

One Beat CPR’s staff will be on hand during the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run to demonstrate Compressions Only CPR; as well as send 15 participants to complete the race.

The Tunnel to Towers Ft. Lauderdale 5K Run/Walk will take place on September 8th, 2012 at Huizenga Park, located at 32 East Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.
