Sol Solar Power - Graphene Update

Back at the end of May, 2012 we reported on the use of Graphene within our Solar Cells.

With a Power Conversion Efficiency achieved of 8.9% we are at the forefront of this technology within the industry. We previously stated that we are working with several industry peers who are using our Graphene formula to enhance and progress their production and manufacturing processes. To date we have seen marginal increases in efficiency since reaching the 8.9% threshold and our engineers are confident that within the next testing cycle we will break the 10% efficiency barrier. Our research and development leads us to believe that once we break this benchmark, increases in efficiency should be easier, less complex and quicker to achieve.

Once this is achieved we believe that the product will have enough efficiency to further progress our production testing and incorporate our new processes into our production lines. We will also benefit from our partners testing and implementation.

Our belief in Graphene is based on results and we are aware that this is a key area where we need to be consistently performing. We do not wish to bring to market a solar cell that is not as efficient as the market requires. This in itself would be falsely economical within a very sensitive global economic environment.

As the uses, benefits and limitations of Graphene become more familiar we envision efficiency rates of above never expected levels.
