Bring Your Gently Used Jeans To the August 2 Meeting

July 25, 2012 - PRLog -- H.O.P.E. strives to educate all age groups on the warning signs, symptoms and side effects that accompany eating disorders and body image issues. Through their various awareness campaigns, volunteers have collected over 12,000 pair of jeans in the past six years and donated them to people in need across the state of Florida while encouraging others to “be comfortable in their genes.”

So, now is a good time to do some summer closet cleaning and stack up the jeans you don’t want or don’t fit. Bag them up and bring them to the August 2 meeting. Be ready for a “photo op” because we will pile the jeans together and take some photos to send to WOAMTEC headquarters and the local press. The jeans will be donated to The Chelsea House, an organization that assists abused and battered women reclaim their lives.
