New Jersey Attorney to Address National Sports Officiating Summit

Alan Goldberger, a partner in the Millburn, New Jersey law firm of Brown Moskowitz & Kallen and the author of "Sports Officiating:  A Legal Guide," will be a featured speaker at the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) Annual Sports Officiating Summit to be held July 29-31 in Portland,Oregon.

Goldberger will speak to officiating association leaders on "The Seven Things You Need to Know About Game Contracts.”

Attendees will include leaders of state high school officiating programs, local association officers, supervisors and coordinators, assigners, conference administrators and sports officials at all levels.

A frequent speaker to groups of sports officials, coaches, athletic administrators, and attorneys nationwide, Alan Goldberger provides commentary on officiating and legal issues in the national media.  He serves as counsel to officiating and sports organizations and insurance carriers in the sports industry.


ABOUT ALAN GOLDBERGER

ALAN GOLDBERGER is an attorney and former sports official.  A partner in the Millburn, New Jersey firm of Brown Moskowitz & Kallen, P.C., Alan Goldberger is counsel to many sports organizations, including the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, Inc., the New Jersey State Baseball Umpires Association, Inc., and the State Basketball Officials Association of New Jersey, Inc.  He is a member of the New Jersey, New York and Maryland Bars.  A past president of the North Jersey (IAABO) Board of Approved Basketball Officials, Inc., he officiated basketball, football, and baseball for 35 years.   He is a regular contributor to athletic and legal publications.
