Angie has an incredible ability to memorize any song she hears and…the musical talent to deliver it. Eventually, her gift will take her on a global tour made possible by an affluent and powerful friend.
She believes that she is God’s Messenger and that she has been tasked to deliver His message of peace to all humanity. What she discovers, though, is that her life of inspiration is headed toward pitfalls and pain.
Before long, she is hedged-in by questionable characters; from tawdry and lewd entertainment executives to corrupt politicians, Angie’s world becomes fraught with shady figures.
While she continues to pursue her mission, her heart becomes home for one man and their love is soon made manifest in her pregnancy.
For a Messenger though, their love is destined to be short-lived. Angie knows that God usually takes His martyrs in their youth. How can she carry out her mission with a baby on the way? Who will be there to protect and raise the child when she’s gone?
“A delicate and delightfully written treasure trove of insightful words that gather us in and hold us, so that by the end we feel as though we have truly walked a mile in Angie’s shoes,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “There is a passion and wisdom in Buchanan’s work that leaps from the pages and grabs the reader’s attention.”
Charles Buchanan was born in Baytown, Texas, where he served as a Scoutmaster for over twenty years and is an Eagle Scout himself. Charles is a master and instructor of the martial arts system of P’an K’uei Do as well as swords and a variety of other weaponry.
Charles is a published author with three previous works to his credit, but he says that the story of “Angie” truly came straight from his heart. He was inspired in what could be called, “an almost mysterious manner,” which threw him into a feverish effort to get the story onto paper. The first draft was completed in thirty days and six months later he began seeking publication. Charles is confident that “Angie: The Most Beautiful Sound of All” is a message the world needs to hear. Charles Earl Buchanan now resides in Canon City, Colorado, where he serves as a sergeant in the Department of Corrections at the Fremont Correctional Facility.
