Los Angeles, July 2, 2012 – Renowned medical malpractice attorney ( http://www.daviddrexlerlaw.com/
Law Professor Edward C. Stark, physician Scott Bateman M.D., and Drexler, a Board Certified medical malpractice attorney, teach the elective course. “Many of our law students will decide whether to chart a course towards medical malpractice and professional negligence based on the strength of this class. That’s how vital it is at this juncture in the curriculum,”
Drexler’s presentation will cover all aspects of prosecuting a medical malpractice case starting with definitions and moving through research, strategy, hiring of experts, trial preparation as well as reviewing landmark case studies.
“I’m honored and thrilled to be invited to help teach this course,” said Drexler, whose son, Attorney Jonathan Drexler, is a Southwestern graduate. “The national and state accredited law school is a venerable institution that produces outstanding lawyers. I respect and admire the professors and administrators whose caring and dedication to the students is second to none. The students are serious about learning law, and they are curious about what it takes to prosecute a medical negligence claim.”
While Southwestern features many talented and highly accomplished full time professors who practice or have practiced law, Stark, who also is a Associate Dean and professor at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, says that it is a benefit to the students to bring in a “veteran and seasoned attorney who fights in the trenches every day.”
“David is a singularly talented malpractice trial lawyer who has achieved great success in securing not only verdicts and settlements, but also winning appeals in the area of medical malpractice,”
David Drexler has recovered over $150 million dollars for his clients, has been nominated as California Trial Attorney of the Year after trying over 150 cases and obtaining numerous multi-million dollar jury verdicts. He is a Nationally Board Certified ABPLA Professional Liability Trial Attorney Specialist in both legal and medical malpractice cases. A double-boarded Diplomate, he serves on the ABPLA Board of Directors as California Chair and has been called “A big city lawyer with small town values” by LA Direct Magazine and has been named a “SuperLawyer”
