Nick Boksa Invited To Sweden By Volvo Penta

July 23, 2012 - PRLog -- In June, Nick Boksa, President of Boksa Marine Design was invited to Sweden by Volvo Penta to take a first hand look at the IPS 3 pod drive system.

Volvo Penta, which manufactures engines and other equipment for marine applications, is seeking to adapt their engines and pod drive systems to a greater reach within the commercial market. The company invited designers, architects and builders from around the United States to get a better understanding of the benefits and features of the Volvo Penta systems.

Boksa met with Volvo Penta representatives, visiting multiple factories across Sweden and participated in various sea trials. The meetings began on Sunday, June 17 and ended Friday, June 22.

"I was impressed with handling, speed and efficiency of the pod drives. I also had informative meetings to review the Volvo line of engines and propulsion systems available for commercial vessels and leisure vessels," said Boksa of the visit.

With a greater understanding of the Volvo Penta IP3 pod, as well as pod drives in general, Boksa will be better able to consult and advise his clients on the benefits and features of these systems.
