Tout allows users to record and post 15-second video updates to social media followers who can then watch and share the updates in real-time. The service recently gained a great deal of exposure due to an agreement with WWE and allowed Patterson to see potential in using it for his own brand.
"Tout is exactly what I've been looking for," Patterson said. "Now I can show those who follow me what I'm seeing or experiencing along with me in a way I've not been able to before."
According to Patterson, the recent deal between the social media service and Stanford, CT-based WWE helped sway his decision as well.
"In Vince I trust," Patterson added, referring to CEO Vincent McMahon. "The WWE brand has always been able to break new ground and what their programming has done with social media is outstanding. If they are involved with the Tout brand it can only grow, so I have to be part of it."
Patterson sent out his very first Tout posting on Monday afternoon, July 23. Updates can be watched on his website at http://www.PatrickScottPatterson.com at the bottom of the front page.
