Thirty years since Sandtex Trade last advertised on TV, a new campaign is running on television until mid-August, which breathes new life into a classic, where a lighthouse keeper struggles against the elements over time, while his lighthouse’s paint finish remains immaculate.
The original version of the advert received wide acclaim among trade and consumer audiences and helped put Sandtex Trade on the road to success as the UK’s premium masonry paint.
This latest version of the advert features one of the UK’s most challenging conditions, Norfolk’s historic Happisburgh Lighthouse – where Sandtex Trade X-treme X-posure is helping to maintain the structure’s distinctive colour scheme for the long-term.
The advert is now available to view at the campaign microsite, www.sandtex50yearsprotection.co.uk along with other information for professionals including video guides and testimonials.
The microsite also includes a link to PaintSpec Finder™, an on-line resource which is designed to help specifiers get the right paint for the job.
Launched earlier this year, PaintSpec Finder™ is a user-friendly, pictorially led interface, which generates tailor-made, accurate coating specifications in an accessible format regardless of the complexity or size of the works.
Users are guided through a series of questions to identify the parameters of their project and confirm the specific details needed to determine which products should be included in the specification.
All relevant Technical and Health and Safety Data can be attached to the completed specification, which has with a personalised cover sheet showing the customer’s name, the project and the user’s details.
Sharon Smith, Sandtex Trade Brand Manager said: “For more than 50 years Sandtex Trade has been recognised for its outstanding, high performance products.
“Now, with the brand in the limelight with the current TV advertising campaign, this microsite has been launched to give specifiers more information about how Sandtex Trade offers the best masonry paint, trims and sundries to ensure buildings are protected with the toughest coatings.”
