Public records for the property reveal that Zuckerberg has refinanced his mortgage at 1.05 per cent—way below the 2-3% inflation rate—over a 30-year adjustable-rate period. This means that Zuckerberg is technically borrowing for free. Quite an eye for good investment, according to property expert Rick Otton.
Australian property investor Rick Otton is widely known for building up a massive property portfolio through sound investment strategies. For more than 30 years, Mr. Otton has been buying and selling houses for a dollar and sometimes even less, much like Mark Zuckerberg. The difference is, Mr. Otton’s methods won’t require you to be a billionaire like Facebook’s founder in order to invest in real estate.
“For many years I have helped other investors solve real-life problems, which includes buying a house without bank loans, turning negative to positive cash flow and creating a passive income they can rely on,” he said.
Mr. Otton has helped improve real estate investing experience for Australian investors through his property investing seminar workshops, empowering his students with creative strategies to nail property transactions faster and more efficiently.
“I’ve been creating stepping stones to help everyday people realise their dream of ownership, and provide the tools needed to get to that dream,” said Mr. Otton.
One of Mr. Otton’s successful students, Greg, was employed for many years and has been doing property investing on the side to augment his income.
“I was doing the negative gearing strategy that most people did, thinking it was the best way of doing things. And I must say I wasn't getting a hit on that strategy. It was just not working for me. But I happened to come across Rick Otton’s seminars wherein he talked about buying and selling properties in a different way than what I was doing and I was really interested in that,” Greg said.
Since then, Greg has been implementing Rick Otton’s strategies in his property deals, which has given him positive cash flow and has improved his life exponentially. “I would never go back to that negative gearing stuff. This way far outweighs the negative gearing that I used to do,” Greg added.
Greg is only one of the thousands of students who benefited from Mr. Otton’s strategies. In fact, Otton’s real estate book ‘How to Buy a House for $1’ released last May contains actual case studies just like Greg’s story.
“I want people to see that home ownership can be achieved by anyone without the burdens of huge bank loans or staggering down payments.” Rick Otton added.
