Reitred Ambulances donated by Life EMS

Kent County Emergency Service Team receives retired Ambulances

July 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Kent County Emergency Service Team is extremely excited to announce they have received two retired ambulances from Life EMS.  This generous donation is a demonstration of Life EMS’s commitment to the community. The vehicles will be refit to into a command center and communication center; replacing our aging command/communication vehicle. These two vehicles will be an integral part of our search and rescue and emergency communications operations. With the addition of these two new operating platforms Kent County Emergency Service Team will be able better provide our services to the community.

KCSAR (Kent County Search and Rescue) is a dedicated and trained team of managers, ground search personnel, canine search teams, and support units. Their function is to assist in the location, stabilization, and transporting of missing persons in both rural and urban settings of Kent County and surrounding areas of the state. Our K-9 dogs and their handlers are specially trained and certified after rigorous training in a variety of search environments and the testing of both dog and owner/handler. The completion of online courses as well as classroom and field instruction is required in order to become an active team member. Search and Rescue members are seeking national recognition as Search and Rescue Technicians with several already receiving the SARTECH II designation.
