Follow on Google News | Greener Pastures Launches The Great North-East India Wildlife Tour - A Grand Wilderness JourneyGreener Pastures, a frontier ecotourism enterprise based in the exotic wilderness of India's northeast, has launched a grandest of all wildlife tours - The Great North-East India Wildlife Tour. Seventeen days of the most thrilling of wildlife.
By: Greener Pastures Sensing an urgent need to promote Northeastern India’s rich biodiversity, Greener Pastures was formed in 2011, and since then, the organization has played an extraordinary role in assisting tourists who are keen on visiting the great unknowns of Northeastern India. The latest product, which is for a long duration of 17 days, has been created for the serious wildlife travelers. The 17 day tour will start in the Himalayan foothills of Bhutan; where Manas National Park, a World Heritage Site, is situated. From there, the tour will continue to the deciduous and tropical forests of Nameri National Park where enthusiasts will get an opportunity to indulge in a thrilling wildlife walk. Then, crossing over to the southern bank of the Brahmaputra River will be a visit to the teeming grasslands of Kaziranga National Park, another World Heritage Site which is famous for its rich wildlife and for harboring the largest population of Asian Rhinos. A day will be spent in the Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary where seven species of primates exist in harmony, including India’s only ape species – the hoolock gibbons. The tour will then continue towards the very east of the Himalayas, covering the unique Dibru-Saikhowa National Park, the mighty Namdapha National Park and the much unexplored Dihing-Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary. Other than offering the best of naturalist guides for all the wildlife experiences, the tour also includes learning about tea production, and learning about tribal culture that is prevalent in Northeast India. The accommodations provided are mostly basic due to the lack of proper infrastructure in the region, but again, Greener Pastures stresses itself on providing tourists a comfortable stay and is known to passionately look after their needs. This once-a-lifetime wildlife tour will be available during winters, from the months of November to April. Summers have not been included owing to the floods and rain that frequent Northeast India during the months from May to August. Bottom-line, the Great North-East India Wildlife Tour is a must for all the nature lovers around the world, making accessible a land that has since long remained unexplored.
