The event is a fundraiser for The Kitchen and a celebration of Center City businesses and local artists. Guests can shop booths and tables sponsored by C-Street and Downtown businesses and Springfield artists, enjoy samples of local fare, purchase craft beer at the Mother’s Brewing Company table, and enjoy live performances by some of the area’s favorite local talents.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the day’s events. Center City Marketplace includes live performances by Troy, The Western Paradise, Bella Donna, Johan Collins of Black Box Revue, and more! At a fashion show later in the day, attendees can view clothing collections from businesses including Modern Society, Nomad, 5 Pound Apparel, and Downtown Clothing Exchange with hair and make-up by downtown stylists.
This event is open to all ages. The first 50 guests will receive re-usable shopping bags filled with swag from several local businesses. Prizes from businesses including Nomad, 5 Pound Apparel, Modern Society, Downtown Vision Clinic, Downtown Clothing Exchange, Aura Face + Body and many, many more will be raffled off at this event.
Wristbands are $5 in advance or at the door. Guests receive an additional five free raffle tickets by purchasing a wristband in advance at any of the following locations: Downtown Clothing Exchange, Downtown Vision Clinic, Aura Face + Body, Nomad, Modern Society and 5 Pound Apparel.
The Kitchen, Inc. is a local non-profit with outreaches and locations throughout Springfield including a food pantry, Rare Breed Youth Services, and the Missouri Hotel, which was devastated by a fire in January, 2012.
