She later developed her self-taught writing skills through her work as an RN. Her poetry in Remember to Dream: For Tomorrow Must Come deals with serious subjects such as depression and healing.

In some jobs such as nursing, it is not about the money, but about a true vocation. “In my field of nursing, I have seen firsthand how every soul is taken to the point of having to re-invent themselves.
