RENOLIT introduces temperature-reducing calendered film for self adhesive applications

July 20, 2012 - PRLog -- It is the result of years of continuous in-house research and development work aimed at supplying customers in the vinyl industry with top-performing products.
The films with the new technology Solarmour can reduce temperatures on film surfaces by 29 degrees Fahrenheit when compared to the standard formulation. They work by reflecting most of the sun’s energy in the infrared band, and this lowers the temperature on film’s surface.  With a lower surface temperature, the films have a longer life span and higher durability.
Solarmour films can be processed in the same manner as conventional films and manufactured in gloss or embossed surfaces.
Opaque polymeric formulations as well as “smoked clear” film are also available. All adhesive systems are compatible with Solarmour films, and these high-performing calendered films work for all thicknesses from 60 μm (2.4 mil) and above.
