The highly anticipated set has been printed using a unique foil process found only within the From the Vault series and each card will be printed in the current card frame. Every card in the pack will be black bordered and most importantly, tournament legal, meaning that they can be used in any tournament where the original printings are still legal. The 'From the Vault: Realms' set will also include an exclusive spindown life counter and a collectors guide.
For many fans of the original trading card game this extremely limited print run has led to an outpouring of speculation on social networking sites. Spoilers have emerged containing images of the brand new artwork however it seems that for many, the 31st August release date will be the first time that they will see the Realms set in full.
Magic the Gathering fans arrived at last weekend’s San Diego Comic Con in their droves last week to attend a panel featuring key members of the MTG team. The event covered everything from Innistrad to Dark Ascension with members of the audience receiving prizes for asking questions during the Q&A section. Fans were treated to the first look of new artwork appearing in future packs along with news of the second set in the Innistrad block, Dark Ascension: ‘Command the Night’.
