Building Community in Condo and Home Owners Associations

When many people think of Hoa's or Condo Associations a lot of times bad images come to mind, but does this have to be the case.
 
July 20, 2012 - PRLog -- When many people think of Hoa's or Condo Associations a lot of times bad images come to mind, but does this have to be the case.  In truth associations are a good thing when it comes to upholding property values and providing a way to experience amenities you might not otherwise have a chance to use; such as pools, playgrounds and fitness centers.

All of these different amenities and features in a community help to foster a friendly spirit in an association when used the right way.  Holding monthly or weekly functions to bring people together let people get to know each other, build friendships and could work towards many positives.  One of those being lower crime rates.

When you know your neighbors, you also get to know their schedules and naturally get into a routine of looking after their place, without even knowing that your doing it.  Don't worry, they are doing the same for you too.

In going off of this idea, what could be more fun and build community better than planting a community garden?  Think about all the benefits it could provide.  You get a chance to work on something that is bring people in your neighborhood together for a good cause, learning about other people around you, and who knows what could come from those contacts.
