Marbles On The Run - Galt Toys Teams Up With Play Fest

July 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Galt Toys is hosting two Play Fest parties on Twitter and Facebook, later this July, in association with IzziWizzi Kids, to give parents the opportunity to review and feedback on one of Galt’s most popular toys, Marble Run, before a new product launch later this year.

Play Fest, a weekly event on Twitter and Facebook is specifically designed by, and for, UK parents and families and provides a place where individuals can gather and influence toy products, brands and all aspects of play.

The Play Fest is a brainchild of mum of two Al Boxall-Gordon who could see opportunities to create a play community and work with this group to understand what makes them tick from their everyday family life. This unique insight makes it a useful tool for brands looking to communicate with parents and families in real time.

Al Boxall-Gordon in 2005 was an entrepreneur just starting out on her journey of motherhood and found herself frustrated by the one directional marketing of toys and the limited availability. In response to this she established an e-commerce store selling the types of toys she wanted for her own children. In 2010 she took this in a new direction to apply her skill set of marketing in childrens toys, starting a weekly online TV show and then further into social media, launching Play Fest in January 2011. Since then, Al has worked closely with toy brands to understand their needs and the needs of this Play Community to grow the Play Fest as a resource for UK families and toy brands.
