By: Canyon Falls Productions, Lunatopia Productions New for 2013: Two featured filmmakers—Gary King and Ignatius Fischer http://www.idyllwildcinemafest.com/ http://www.idyllwildcinemafest.com/ First Foreign Language Films http://www.idyllwildcinemafest.com/ New Submission Category—Amateur http://www.idyllwildcinemafest.com/ Three new awards—Best Foreign Language Film, Best Amateur Film, Best Documentary Short http://www.idyllwildcinemafest.com/ Bright 18.5K lumen digital projector at the Rustic Theatre Project-specific mini-events, typically linking film projects to sponsoring local businesses for cross-promotion Expansion to five days Two new events—Opening Night Formal Dinner, Producers/Actors Breakfast The Idyllwild CinemaFest (aka ICF) presents a wide variety of projects falling into six major categories: Short Film ( less than 15 minutes) Featurette (15-59 minutes) Feature Film (60+ minutes) Documentary Short (2-29 minutes) Documentary Feature (30+ minutes) Web Series (2-15 minutes, 3 consecutive episodes) Additionally there are several multiple-qualifying categories; in other words, these projects are eligible for awards in these specialized categories as well as their type/length category. Last year’s festival totaled 67 projects; due to the additional day, this year is expected to exceed this number. Three seminars will be held, topics to be announced at a later date, although a major topic will be new media distribution such as video on demand. The festival will hold five major events: Wednesday PM Formal Dinner (Jan 9); new this year. Thursday PM Networking Party (Jan 10); our traditional free wall-to-wall event held at the rock-walled Creekstone Inn. Saturday AM Producer’s & Actor’s Breakfast (Jan 12); award nominations will be announced at this event. Sunday AM Director’s Breakfast (Jan 13); speaker tba Sunday Awards Ceremony (Jan 13) Audience tickets (available at a later date), will be for a single film or 2-hour block of featurettes/ The Idyllwild CinemaFest is an annual film festival held in Idyllwild, California that highlights independent films.
