The WAFA course is designed for trip leaders and those traveling or working in remote areas that need a more extensive training program than the Wilderness First Aid course. This 5-day course focuses on stabilization, treatment and evacuation guidelines for patients in back-country environments. Emphasis is placed on long term patient care management and specific injury evaluation.
Learning takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather conditions. Come prepared for wet, muddy, cold or hot environments. The course is taught by professional instructors.
No previous first aid training is required. You must be 16 years old to attend this course. The course will be taught by professional instructors in English, but Thai course notes can be provided if needed. The only equipment you need to provide is a head torch for night classes and a set of old clothes that can be cut off to be used in simulations.
Program cost and meals - 12,000 baht. Accommodation can be arranged at Traidhos Residence and Spa. If you would like to attend or would like further information, please email Eve at firstname.lastname@example.org.
