PRLog -- Orange County CA - The Orange County Novastars are preparing to open their free agent professional basketball mini camp this weekend Saturday July, 21, 2012 at the Next Level Sports Complex in Garden Grove, CA. This official team event is closed to the public , but open to all Novastar Fast Break Club members and the media. Details for the tryout can be found on there website at www.novastarbasketball.com. With professional basketball all but abscent in a thriving sports community like Orange County, the Novastars promise an affordable family entertainment option with an exciting ABA flare that basketball fans will be sure to love. This event should be a breath of fresh air for the people in the Orange County community who have been long awaiting a professional basketball team to call their own. When asked what they expect from this initial ABA tryout co-owner Glenn Wilkerson stated, "With the talent that we have received from our pre-registration, it looks extremely promising. There are still a few spots open, and I know there is more local talent that we would like to see out there." Players should plan on being out to the event at 9 AM PST, and late registrants should get there as early as possible to check-in and register. Head Coach and Co-owner Al Smith added "I want guys to be ready to show their talents at this tryout. There is a lot on the line for some of these guys. This could be their opportunity to play pro basketball, so I am expecting to see the type of effort that will put them on the court during our season."
