World Changers Revive Porches at HABcore in Red Bank

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 19, 2012 - HABcore, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing for the homeless,  was the recipient of a service project provided by World Changers, a religious volunteer program that revitalizes substandard homes across the country.  Yesterday morning, nine volunteers arrived at HABcore’s River Street location, which houses three men and a single mother with her two daughters, to paint porches in the front and back of the home.

Every summer, World Changers provides Christian youth and adults with opportunities to strengthen their faith through practical learning experiences. This year, 334 students from 15 churches are staying at Neptune High School to complete projects across Monmouth County.

Cara Bailey, Missions and Communications Specialist for World Changers, said, “Students today are really looking to be a part of something bigger than themselves, bigger than their hometowns.”

“It’s quite remarkable seeing these young people spending their summer vacations working to help those less fortunate,” stated Steve Heisman, Executive Director of HABcore, Inc.  “The support received from World Changers will further our mission to provide stability, dignity, and hope to the homeless.”
