Andrew Mueller and Nikki Shortt, long time residents of Wright City, MO, were young and in love. Starting their lives together by getting married June 16th at Cedar Lake Cellars, where Andrew works, was the beginning. Nikki was 24 weeks pregnant when their wedding plans changed dramatically!
On June 11, 2012, Nikki went into pre-term labor and delivered Grayson Andrew Mueller at an unfathomable 1.5 pounds. They cancelled their wedding at Cedar Lake and instead held the ceremony at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The staff there made Grayson his own tuxedo.
Grayson’s friends and family are hosting an all day benefit with all proceeds going to St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation and Grayson’s family to help with medical expenses, September 22, 2012. A BBQ will be held in Wright City at the 4 way stop from 10:30-2:30 pm and the benefit will continue at 6 pm at the Field Box Sports Bar & Grill located at 3721 Mexico Rd in St. Peters, MO.
