Lexington Healing Arts Academy helps Kentucky get fit with free yoga and personal training

July 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Lexington Healing Arts Academy (LHAA) offers free personal training sessions August 6-September 21 and free yoga classes August 13-October 6.  All classes and sessions are open to the community.  Clients may walk in for the yoga classes and for the one-on-one personal training sessions appointments may be made by calling 859.252.5656.  Appointments will be booked on a first come, first serve basis.  

Interns nearing the end of their education at LHAA will lead the yoga classes and personal training sessions. The yoga classes will be Beginner level and suitable for everyone.  The personal training sessions are recommended for everyone, the sessions will be designed to correspond to the clients’ individual needs.  

Kentucky is usually among the lowest ranking states in the health and fitness of its population.  In fact, last year Lexington was listed as the #1 most sedentary city in the nation and Kentucky was one of 12 states to break a 30-plus percent obesity rate in Men’s Health magazine.

“This is a great opportunity for our Personal Training and Yoga students to practice and perfect the skills they have learned.  It also gives our customers a wonderful way to either try out or build upon their self-care practices and address some of their health care concerns through exercise and yoga,” says Executive Director Bill Booker.
