Floyd K. Takeuchi Joins Bright Light Marketing

July 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Veteran journalist Floyd K. Takeuchi has joined Bright Light Marketing as vice president. He brings 35 years of media experience in Hawaii and the Asia-Pacific region to the Honolulu-based marketing and public relations agency.

“We’re thrilled that Floyd has joined our Bright Light Marketing team. His broad media and management experience will be of immediate benefit to our clients,” says President and Chief Executive Officer Lynette Lo Tom, who founded the firm in 1990.

Takeuchi has been a working journalist as a reporter for the Honolulu Advertiser and Honolulu Star-Bulletin as well as a broadcast correspondent and anchor of Bloomberg News in Tokyo.  

He also served as news director of Hawaii Public Radio, editor and publisher of Hawaii Business Magazine, managing editor of the Daily Post in Suva, Fiji and publisher of Pacific Magazine.

He has experience in senior media management as the president and chief operating officer of Pacific Basin Communications and later as the president of its parent company aio LLC that operates eight other companies in technology, food, sports and media. He is also the author of five books and eBooks about Hawaii and the Pacific, based on his photography and writing, and is completing a sixth book on the life of a hula halau.
