K2 Skis Partners with Tordrillo Mountain Lodge

K2 welcomes lodge co-founder, Olympian Tommy Moe to athlete roster

July 17, 2012 - PRLog -- TORDRILLO RANGE, AK –  Premier Alaska heli adventure guide service and multi-sport company, Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, is pleased to announce its title ski and snowboard partnership with industry-leading ski manufacturer K2. K2 also signed Olympic gold-medalist and Tordrillo Mountain Lodge co-owner Tommy Moe to a multi-year sponsorship contract that includes K2 skis, poles, helmets, goggles and boots.

An accomplished Olympic medalist and a renowned ski guide, Moe brings great charisma and widespread expertise to the K2 Backside Team. Based out of Jackson Hole, Wyo., Moe joins the ranks of other world-famous guides and athletes in K2’s stable including: Zach and Reggie Crist, JT Holmes, Martin Volken and Mike Hattrup.

“Tommy’s involvement with Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, paired with his big-mountain aptitude and decorated career make him an ideal athlete to represent the K2 brand,” said K2 Team Manager, Andrew Thomas. “We are thrilled to welcome Tommy on board and support his wide range of skiing endeavors anywhere from Jackson Hole to Alaska.”

Beginning this 2012-2013 season, Tordrillo Mountain Lodge will provide guests with a full offering of K2’s top-of-the-line skis. Equipment varies in size, shape and style to suit clients’ abilities and meet the demands of all snow conditions from waist deep powder to corn snow.

The K2 skis in Tordrillo Mountain Lodge’s fleet will include the Darkside, Pon2oon, and the Sidestash for men, while the women’s collection will include the GotBack and TalkBack. Both the K2 Darkside and Pon2oon feature Powder Rocker, which are easy to initiate and feature wide waist width measurements for unmatched floatation in deep Alaskan powder. The Sidestash, GotBack and TalkBack are built with All-Terrain Rocker and offer versatility for variable snow conditions and terrain. The lodge will also host a K2 Snowboard fleet comprising the Panoramic Splitboard and this season’s brand new Peace Keeper, Ultra Dream and High Lite.
