4. Sir Philip Green.

Retail entrepreneur Sir Philip Green owns Arcadia Group, home to some of the UK’s favourite retail stores including Topshop, Topman, BHS, Miss Selfridge, Burton, Dorothy Perkins and Evans. It is thought that he began his foray into business at the tender age of 15 and is currently said to be worth over 4 billion pounds.

3.  Simon Cowell.

‘Mr Nasty’ Simon Cowell began his career as the assistant to the A & R man at a record label. These days he has many occupations, most notably as X Factors ‘Nasty’ (or honest depending on how you look at it) judge. He is a music and TV executive, producer, judge on multiple TV talent shows and entrepreneur with his own Production Company and record label.

2. Lord Alan Sugar.

The English entrepreneur, ‘The Right Honourable’ Lord Alan Sugar is best known these days for saying ‘you’re fired!’ to wannabe entrepreneurs on TV show ‘The Apprentice’. It’s almost hard to imagine that his first foray into business involved boiling and selling beetroot on a market stall. To give a rough idea, some of the businesses Richard either currently owns, previously owned or has had shares and involvement in include Virgin Megastores, Virgin airlines, Virgin mobile (which was sold to NTL with the two subsequently merging to form Virgin Media (Phone, TV, Broadband, mobile), Virgin Cola and Vodka, Virgin Healthcare and Virgin Active. Virgin Galactic is set to send paying passengers into space and Branson is now working on Virgin Fuel! Phew!
