Follow on Google News | Care Group Embraces Cultural OlympiadLeading care provider Hallmark Care Homes recently sponsored part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.
By: Hallmark Care Homes Following a private viewing of the tapestries, employees of Hallmark Care Homes joined other care industry professionals in taking a boat ride along the Thames. The floating reception raised over £1500, with works of art by various young artists auctioned for charity. Autistic savant Stephen Wiltshire, also known as ‘living camera’ in recognition of his incredibly accurate panoramic drawings, was among the artists who kindly donated paintings and drawings. Avnish, a trustee of the Hemraj Goyal Foundation, said: “To play our part in this cultural event was amazing, and to share this experience with associates from across the care sector made it extra special. Thank you to everyone who attended and I urge anyone who hasn’t yet done so to come and view these inspiring tapestries – they’re well worth the visit.” The Olympic spirit is being embraced rife throughout Hallmark Care Homes. Residents at both Bryn Celyn and Ty Enfys Care Homes recently held an official Olympic Relay Torch. Other homes have celebrated the arrival of the games by taking to the streets and cheering on local torchbearers.
