Garden Drug Pharmacy & Medical Supply Gives Back through its Grand Re-Opening Celebration

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 16, 2012 - Garden Drug Pharmacy & Medical Supply is built on a foundation of strong pride for its pharmacy profession, its progressive independent ownership, and most importantly a feverish commitment to the highest quality patient care and service. The pharmacy in Fort Lauderdale is celebrating 50 years of service with a grand re-opening now that Dr Aneesh Lakhani is the new owner and pharmacist.  Dr Lakhani earned his doctorate in Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University and has over 12 years experience in independent pharmacy. He is also the executive director of the Broward County Pharmacy Association and has certifications in Bio-identical hormone replacement, diabetes management, and immunizations among other certifications.
Garden Drug Pharmacy & Medical Supply is proud to be hosting their official Grand Re-Opening celebration event for the community. Dr. Lakhani and his pharmacy team want to show their appreciation for their current customer loyalty and invite new customers for a festive celebration.
The Grand Re-Opening activities will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 10:00am – 2:00pm.  The day’s events will include DJ entertainment, BBQ food and refreshments from adjacent Marge’s Restaurant, a custom ice cream cart, customer giveaways and prize drawings.  The event will also host Dr. Maria Maniscalco, medication management specialist at United Health Care. Dr. Maniscalco will speak on the topics of Diabetes and Asthma.
Dr Lakhani states, “I am thrilled to see my lifelong dream of owning and operating an independent pharmacy become a reality. I am truly grateful for the unwavering support I have received from the city and my family and friends. I look forward to continuing to service the community residents for many years to come.” The event is expected to be well attended by city officials including the Oakland Park Historical Society and Anne Sallee, the current mayor of Oakland Park.
