Free Newsletter 'Pianoscapes' Offers Tips on How to Play New Age Piano

This bi-weekly newsletter written by pianist/composer Edward Weiss has been going strong for over 5 years and now has over 8500 subscribers.

When asked why he puts out a newsletter for New Age piano fans, Weiss explains…

“Believe it or not, a lot of people really like this style of piano playing. And why not? It’s easy to play, therapeutic, and offers a lot in the way of both creativity and stress-relief. Every other Tuesday, I send out a new issue that offers tips, suggestions, and advice on how to play piano in the New Age style. I’m the only one in the world currently doing this so I take great pride in it.”

While most know what the term ’new age’ means, it does have negative connotations for many. When asked why that may be, Mr. Weiss responds:

“New Age music is just music pure and simple. If you wanted to attach a philosophy or external meaning to it, then I suppose one could. There’s nothing I can do to convince people otherwise except to try it and see.”
