Greensleeves Leader in Energy Published Internationally

July 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Highlighted within the pages of this month’s addition of Ground Up magazine (an international publication of the European Ground Source Heat Pump Association published in the United Kingdom), Greensleeves Chief Technology Officer, Stephen Hamstra expresses his thoughts about the future of the Green Building industry in his three-page interview and is recognized for being named a “Thought Leader in Energy” by West Michigan Business Review.  

Michigan Native, Stephen Hamstra, has taken the opportunity to become a first-mover in his industry as the stepping stone to national and international influence.  “Being named “thought leader in energy” was an incredible honor. My goal has never been to receive recognition but to impact society by reducing fossil fuel dependence and the impact it has on the earth.” Domestically, Mr. Hamstra has been honored with the Association of Energy Engineers’ Legends in Energy Lifetime Achievement award.

Deeply seeded within Mr. Hamstra’s passion for geothermal is a child-like curiosity for problem solving. Harnessing his interests into a career in sustainable technology was a natural transition for Hamstra; considering his father, a mechanical contractor, installed one of the first solar thermal collection systems in Western Michigan in 1975.
